Wilder Learning North Durham is a nonprofit independent elementary micro-school, offering nature-based alternative learning in Port Perry, Ontario. We are committed to a holistic approach to education, focusing on the development of the whole child in a rich, nurturing environment.
We believe in an educational experience that respects each child’s individuality. Our approach combines outdoor and nature-based education with experiential learning, creating an environment where children can explore, discover and grow. Our child-centred emergent curriculum, inspired by Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Waldorf approaches, cultivates a passion for lifelong learning, while nurturing creativity, critical thinking, and social responsibility.
